About Crystal Palace Transition Town
Do you want to have fun, make friends, be active in the community - while doing your bit for the planet? Then come and join us! Read about some of our members and the stuff we've done. Of course the best way to learn about us is to come and meet us at Green Drinks, follow our very busy Facebook page, or see what's on via our calendar.
Who we are
We are a friendly group of people who are passionate about getting stuff done to help the planet. Not your typical eco-warriors, we all have different reasons for wanting to make Crystal Palace more sustainable. Meet some of our 1,000-strong membership here. |
Stuff we are doing now!
We are an active bunch of people - check out our many projects. Visit us at the Food Market, the Edible Garden or the Patchwork Farm Stall. Borrow a cargo bike or set up a play street. Come and dig in our many growing spaces including St John's and the Edible Bus Station. Grow your own hops then brew some local beer with Palace Pint. Bring your tots to Bugs Club. Get jamming with Palace Preserves. Make a big shift to renewable energy with Palace Power. Know a litter hot spot? Organise a Palace Pick Up! Shop locally and find Fairtrade goods. With so much to do, come along and get involved!!! |
Stuff we've done!
We are really proud of everything we've achieved since the group was founded in 2010. Some highlights include our summer event when Rob Hopkins (founder of the Transition Town movement) came to meet us; our highly successful Fairtrade Fortnights, our first ever event Skill Share Day, and our eco-Christmas-stall. |
Annual Celebrations and Annual Reports
Our Annual Celebrations are a chance to review all our achievements of the year - check out our videos! Reading our Annual Reports is a good way to find out about what we do in more detail. |
