A "Library Of Things" For Crystal Palace !We are very excited to share that Crystal Palace Library of Things is coming to Upper Norwood Library Hub this April!
Following a successful crowdfunding campaign last year, which raised £9,375 from nearly 300 backers, Crystal Palace Transition Town are working in partnership with Library of Things and Upper Norwood Library Hub to create this exciting new project that really compliments our other sustainable projects in the area. Crystal Palace Library of Things is a place where you can borrow useful Things like drills, gazebos and carpet cleaners at affordable prices and learn how to use them. Like many people, we often buy things that we use just once, or see things in the shop that we desperately need or want but cannot afford to buy. We want to inspire and support people in our community to spend less, waste less and share more. Crystal Palace Library of Things will also create opportunities for local residents to connect and share skills with others from this richly diverse community through its events programme. These could be events like DIY classes, sessions to fix things like clothes and electronics, cooking workshops, and lots more. We want YOU to help us make it successful and we welcome your input and ideas - email: The Crystal Palace Transition Town contact: joeduggan215@hotmail.com OR The Library of Things contact here |
