Palace Pick-up

Palace Pick-Ups are community clean-ups of litter hotspots that spoil our lovely neighbourhood. Some of them we then turn into community growing spaces - read how we transformed a fly tip in South Norwood into the Sensible Garden!

The idea is to save the things people have thrown away and upcycle them into useful new objects. We've already had some plastic bag weaving workshops and want to develop further the creative aspect of waste reduction. Anyone got any ideas of a studio we can use?

The stuff we don't save we recycle, and the bulky items we arrange for the council to collect.

If you'd like to get involved, email annakostyrina@gmail.com
To find out about our next event, keep an eye on our calendar, sign up for our newsletter, or watch our Facebook page.

Rainbow Community Wood - please join in!
Last year more then 20 volunteers cleaned up a heavily littered area off Auckland Road (it even made the local paper!) and now we're  transforming it into a growing space!

With funding from Capital Clean Up, we are filling the site with easy-to-grow edible plants and painting tyres in bright colours to use as flower planters to make a nice space to play in and enjoy!

When: Saturdays, 11am-1pm. Watch our Facebook page and calendar for updates.
Where: Between 118 Auckland Road, SE19 and Carlton Court flats (opposite Stambourne Way)
Contact: If you're new to the project, contact Anna before coming so she can give you more information: annakostyrina@gmail.com or 07534969822.
