global challenges, local solutions.....The world is facing the serious challenges of climate change, depleting resources, and economic insecurity. In particular, the end of cheap oil is going to impact on our lives, whether we like it or not. We could wait for governments to do something, but we believe it is up to local communities to start taking action now.
We are a group of local people and we are also part of a global Transition Town movement
in which communities are taking their own steps towards a more
sustainable future. We are working together locally to become better
prepared for, and more resilient to, the transitions we will need to
face. At the same time we get to live in a simpler, greener way, having
fun and getting to know our neighbours.
